I'm getting close to paying off all my debts soon, then I'm going to go on a MM spending spree.

I took a chance and got Silip, I thought it was pretty good. Also, I was wrong when I said Silip and Snake Sisters are from the same director.
Anyway, I still waiting patiently for Snake Sisters...

Re: any word on mondo macabros snake sisters?

So, let me get this straight. I rented SILIP and loved it enough to buy it. Now I want more 80's Filipino Bold Cinema. So I search the web only to discover that these films are virtually non existent thanks to the lack of film preservation in their home country. The only other film of this genre that seems to be available for easy purchase is SNAKE SISTERS but I am not going to purchase that title because Mondo Macabro is going to release a remastered version. However no release date has been announced because they need to find a different distributor due to the film's racy content. So now I have a passion for a different genre of film but no actual films to watch. WTF?

I don't know much about the Bold genre but there are a few films available. You can read about them in this thread:

Reg: SNAKE SISTERS; Pete Tombs mentioned over on Cinehound that they may release it as a mail order release only.

The clips from this that are included on the 'more from Mondo Macabro' promo look way too cool for school.

Here is a link to a torrent of the only copy I can find of Celso Ad Castillo's bold/experimental classic ISLA starring the gorgeous Maria Isabel Lopez. As far as I know it is uncut which is very rare when it comes to pinoy bold movies.

Youtube clip from a MIA bold/trash film ALINDOG. It contains nudity so I figure I better post it ASAP before Youtube bans it.

What about the films of Carlos J. Caparas? Would you like to see these films released by Mondo Macabro (or anyone else for that matter)?

A 7 minute trailer.

This trailer is narrated in English but the dialogue is in Filipino, Robert do you know if the film is available anywhere in English, dubbed or subbed (hmm, I have a feeling I keep asking you about these films, LOL).

Re: any word on mondo macabros snake sisters?

Once again sorry Jack, I have no idea where to find these films (any version). Yeah it's a pretty long trailer, hopefully it's doesn't give away all the goods. Yeah I tend to notice a lot of there trailers have english narration and based on what I've seen newer Filipino/Tagalog films tend to have some english dialog as well.

From what I've read during this time they produced a lot of these "massacre" films based on true stories unfortunately.

I googled him and found this Filipino board where he's discussed; I don't think these people are info exploitation films, haha. I'm sure they'd feather and tar him if they got the chance.
